Custom Dashboards

Customize the Home Page to satisfy role-specific needs

Custom Dashboards allow all users to leverage the home page to perform their role more efficiently.

At a Glance

Dashboard Structure

A Dashboard is made up of sections that each have a layout of components which have configurations.

Functional Setup

The two aspects that control dashboard functionality are component selection and configuration. Component selection dictates the structure and type of information displayed in each module of the dashboard. The component configuration, accessible during the dashboard modification, specifies both the information to include and how the information is displayed.

Aesthetic Setup

Sections and layouts control dashboard aesthetics. A section is typically a row of components that can be given a certain layout – note that on small screens all components are full width in which case the components display in order left-to-right and section-by-section. Layouts inform the number of components in a section and the width of those components. Keep in mind that certain dashboard components are only compatible with the larger component sizes.

Dashboard Preview

At any time during the modification of a dashboard, the current state of the dashboard can be previewed for both functional and aesthetic validation. Note this is a view-only mode, if you want to interact with the dashboard components click ‘Done Editing’ and interact with the live dashboard.
