Quantity Tracking
Track quantity progression through a workflow and task-by-task quantity metrics – like yield and scrap reasons – with a new, dedicated interface.
At a Glance:
- Quantity tracking can be turned on for any new or existing workflow template
- Operators log completed and discarded quantity on each task – throughout the task or at task completion
- Task-specific configurations ensure task quantity is only enforced on the floor when relevant
- Optionally capture additional information, like scrap reasons, with quantity forms

Resource Management
Ensure accurate capacity planning by keeping factory operating hours, resource availability, and resource assignment up-to-date
At a Glance:
- Organize your resources into groups and work centers to aggregate total capacities in each area of your operations
- Assign capacity with up-time and down-time blocks for the entire organization, a specific resource group, or an individual resource
- Easily adjust your baseline capacity by moving flexible resources or adding holidays, time-off or overtime when needed

Work Instructions
Bring your contributors’ attention to task-specific instructions without making them flip through packets of documents unrelated to the task at-hand.
At a Glance:
- Admins configure task-specific work instructions using a rich text editor in the workflow editor
- When work instructions are configured for a task it is the default tab users see when opening the task panel
- Checkboxes added to work instructions are enforced in order for a user to complete the task
- Reference task and order data like datapoints, tags, and dates in context with the rest of the work instructions

Signatures
Enforce electronic sign-off from qualified personnel in order to complete a task.

- Admins configure task-specific signature requirements from the workflow editor
- Required signatures can be scoped for specific users, user groups or anyone in the organization
- All signature requirements must be satisfied before completion of a task
- Timestamp traceability for all individuals that sign

Workflow-Specific Task Standards
Last year we introduced global task standards that enforced quality forms on tasks based on filter settings.
We’ve now extended that functionality to the workflow editor to configure workflow-specific task standards in context of the workflow being created or modified.
At a Glance:
- Configure task standards from the task configuration panel of the workflow editor
- Enforce more specific forms and standards than ever
- Forms that should apply to all tasks or to tasks across many workflows can still be set globally

Task Sorting
Allow your users to confidently choose tasks from the top of their Task Board knowing it aligns with business priorities.
At a Glance:
- Admins configure task sorting algorithms in the Admin App based on nearly any task or order information (see the full list here)
- Task sorting algorithms are selected on a per template basis allowing different functional groups to prioritize differently
- If no configuration is set the FactoryFour default will remain FIFO (first-in, first-out)

Workstation Application for Microsoft Surface
Share a workstation tablet using user QR codes without sacrificing security and traceability. Available only on Microsoft Surface, coming soon on iOS and Android platforms.
At a Glance:
- Provision a QR code to each user
- Give specific users and user groups access to each workstation
- Users scan their QR code to quickly sign in using the device camera
- Set a session timeout length to ensure a users are using their own account for reliable data collection
- Revoke workstation access or user QR code at anytime if lost, stolen or permissions change
