The FactoryFour workstation application makes it easy for users to share a single device on the floor with login QR codes for each user.

Downloading the App

The application is only currently available on Android and Windows on all production environments – standard, Long-Term Service (LTS) and Gov – as well as our development environment. The standard production Android app is available on the Google Play Store and all others can only be downloaded directly from the links below (jump to section).

Environment Definitions

• Standard: (also “Production” or “Prod” for short) the standard environment for organizations that are not held to special regulations. This environment is updated regularly with all of the latest features. This environment is accessed via urls without prefixes like app.factoryfour.com and admin.factoryfour.com.
• Long-Term Service (LTS): an environment for manufacturers in controlled industries that require regular system validation, especially for medical device manufacturers subject to FDA Part 11 compliance. This environment is only updated on a quarterly basis and is accessed via urls with lts- prefixes like lts-app.factoryfour.com and lts-admin.factoryfour.com.
• Gov: an environment hosted on Amazon Gov Cloud for manufacuters with export controlled data (ITAR or EAR). This environment is updated regularly, though less frequently than the standard production environment and is accessed via urls with gov- prefixes like gov-app.factoryfour.com and gov-admin.factoryfour.com.

Setting Up a Workstation

In the Workstation App

1. Login with Admin credentials
2. Give the workstation a name (can be edited later)
3. Confirm the camera feed appears on the login screen

In the Admin App

1. Go the Workstations tab (link)
2. Select the workstation by name
3. Configure the landing page and timeout length
4. Add user and/or user group access

Onboarding Users to the Workstation

In the Admin App

1. Go the User Login Codes tab (link)
2. Provision a user login code for each user that needs access

In the Workstation App

Each user must provide their credentials once per workstation to register the user login QR code, then on subsequent visits they can simply scan the QR code to login.

2. User enters their password and gets into the application
3. Optional: For validation, immediately logout and scan the user login QR code
