How to Log into a Lightning Workstation
Learn how users can log in to the workstation using either a bluetooth scanner or the tablet touchscreen.
Users can log in to the workstation using either a bluetooth scanner or the tablet touchscreen. This article reviews how to log in to your workstation. Before getting started, make sure an admin has finished setting up your workstation.

Log In using a Supported Zebra Scanner
- Ensure the scanner is connected to the workstation – for help refer to Connecting a Supported Zebra Scanner
- Scan your user login code in order using your connected bluetooth scanner
- Your user must have access to the workstation you’re logging into in order for the user login code to be accepted
- If this is the first time you’re logging into this workstation, you will be re-directed to manually re-enter your FactoryFour credentials
- If you have already logged into this workstation, you should be automatically logged into the workstation
After logging in, you will see a session timeout timer which will automatically log you out of the workstation if you don’t manually End Session before then.
Log In using the Touchscreen
- Select the Log In button on your tablet
- You will now have two login options:
- Scan your login code using the tablet camera
- Manually enter your FactoryFour credentials by selecting the Log In with Email & Password button on the modal
- If this is the first time you’re logging into this workstation, you will be re-directed to manually re-enter your FactoryFour credentials (this will only occur on the first login)
- If you have already logged into this workstation, you should be automatically logged into the workstation
- After logging in, you will see a session timeout timer which will automatically log you out of the workstation if you don’t manually End Session before then.
